What are the gaming license requirements?

To obtain a gaming license in Curaçao, you need to follow these steps:

1. Create a Company: The first step is to establish a company in Curaçao. The company must have an address in Curaçao and be registered with the Chamber of Commerce.
2. Obtain a local Director, Directors license and Business license: a gaming company must have a local Director and a local domicile (registered address). It must also have a Business license in order to operate.
3. Open a bank account for the company: a bank account does not have to be in Curaçao, it can be anywhere in the world. It can also be an online bank account.
4. Obtain a payment gateway processor: gaming companies need a payment gateway processor, who will receive online payments from customers. The payment gateway processor will usually accept credit card payments as well as crypto-currency payments.
5. Prepare the gaming license application: The next step is to prepare the application for the gaming license. The application must include the company’s business plan, and other supporting documents such as the Articles of Incorporation of the company, shareholders register and information on the shareholder(s).
6. Submit the gaming license application: Once the application has been filled out and has all required documents, it is submitted to the Government in Curaçao. The application fee must also be paid at this stage.
7. Background Check: The authorities will conduct a background check on the company’s directors and shareholder(s).
8. Compliance Check: The authorities will also conduct a compliance check to ensure that the company meets all the regulatory requirements.
9. Approval and Issuance: Once the application is approved, the company will receive a gaming license. The license is valid for one year and will be renewed every year.
